Path to the Truth Truth

TO the man of today, prayer is synonymous with petition. Only a self-deceiving individual would say that he has something other than begging or petitioning occupying the totality of his mind when he prays. Seldom is gratitude the motive behind prayers.  But man is not meant to pray only when in need. He’s also to be attuned to prayers of thanksgiving, sending spontaneous fervent thanks to the Almighty for His Goodness.

Most certainly the only pathway towards anchoring the essence of one’s prayer before the Almighty is a conviction in His existence. That is the absolute that ferries and anchors one’s petition before His Throne, then follows a deep inner sensing of a motive to pray.  Praying without a conviction in the existence of the Almighty is akin to sending a petition into the wilderness on a wild goose chase without a clear focus on the intended source of the much needed help.  For this reason, when asked to teach us how to pray; the Lord Jesus Christ taught that we begin by saying;

Our Father, Who art in Heaven!”

If experienced deeply, these few words carry the power to create a clear pathway to the Throne of the Almighty Father of All.  This is a strong affirmation of the knowledge of His existence and unfolding of oneself before Him in recognition of one’s nothingness before His Unapproachable Majesty. Thus one gains the connection to His Goodness and Blessings.  One can then pour out one’s heart desire before Him.  We all possess the ability for this, because we all issued out of His Kingdom. We bear it  deep within us.  If we have not darkened and buried it within impure thoughts and actions, all we need do is tap on to it.

The connection enables the supplicant to draw strength and help from Him Who is the Source of All Life to bring into being that which is the object of his desire, provided it would be of benefit to him spiritually.

No doubt the expectation that one gains an anchorage before the Almighty’s Throne compels that one seeks a connection in pure thoughts of goodness in one’s being; for evil thoughts, volition and actions automatically lead to homogeneity with the darkness and dark entities. This cannot but bar one from an approach to the pure luminosity of the Almighty’s Kingdom where nothing but purity of Light, full of Goodness permeates.

Thus the Lord Jesus Christ also taught us to pray:

“And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive them that trespass against us!”

Ascent and granting of a prayer for forgiveness is dependent on one’s shedding of darkness infused, evil thoughts of vengeance directed on to those who trespassed against one.  Such a thought is discordant with the pure luminosity of an approach to the Kingdom of the Father.

“In Jesus name we pray!”

Many are in the habit of ending our prayers thus.   It would really be of immense benefit if man can respect the sanctity of the name; “JESUS” in all he does.  Habitual repetition and recitation without a deep sensing of the need to use the name debases It and weakens one’s ability to draw strength from It.  Jesus Christ Who taught us all things including how to pray did not teach us to end our prayers thus always.

The Lord’s Prayer that He gave us is a masterpiece of a prayer.   He never said; end it in my name.  On the contrary He taught that we connect with the Throne of the Almighty and talk to Him directly. And He specifically emphasized that there is only One to Whom we should pray;  His Father in Heaven.

Surely He assured us that if we make proclamations in His name; JESUS, such would come to pass; for He knows that the name IS, through Divine Power.  It has been infused with Divine Power before the beginning of time. Thus it can bring about the actualization of events with such an extraordinary rapidity that it can’t but seem miraculous to us.

Man, if only you can pray aright, miracles upon miracles would unfold themselves before you and eternally would you be grateful to the Father of All for His Goodness.
